Position Summary
The Thrift Store Production Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily processing of donated goods, ensuring efficient workflow, quality control, and achievement of production goals. This role includes supervising and supporting production staff, pricing merchandise, organizing workflow, and coordinating with store leadership to maintain adequate inventory levels. The Production Lead ensures a clean, safe, and productive work environment while upholding The Salvation Army's mission and values.
Duties and Responsibilities
Production
Supervise, support, and guide production staff to ensure efficient workflow and task completion.
Assign daily tasks and monitor progress toward production goals.
Sort and evaluate donated goods for quality and resale suitability.
Price merchandise in accordance with Salvation Army pricing guidelines.
Ensure quality control standards are met across all processed goods.
Maintain organized production, sorting, and storage areas.
Track productivity levels and report progress to the Production Supervisor.
Warehousing and Safety
Assist with training new production employees.
Operate or oversee forklift operation (forklift certification preferred).
Work collaboratively with retail staff to maintain adequate sales floor inventory.
Follow all safety and operational procedures.

This position does require driving to fill in for Driver in their absence.
Must be minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid in-state Drivers License
Background Check
Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies
Physical
Ability to maneuver, to remain in a stationary position, to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. Ability to lift 50-75 pounds, move large items, bend, reach, grasp, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions. Ability to stand for extended periods in a warehouse/production environment.
