Are You This Welder?
Can you TIG as needed and run C-25 MIG on thin metal tubing with zero spatter?
Do you read work orders accurately, pick the right fixtures, and verify every measurement before you weld?
Are you comfortable using a Miller matic 251 machines and maintaining your equipment?
Can you complete a first-off chair for each new order and perform a Buddy Check with a teammate?
Do you keep a tidy workspace and manage basic ERP tasks (clocking in/out, updating work orders)?
Most importantly—are you a go-getter who shows up reliably and delivers on time?
What You'll Handle
Reviewing carts of chairs and corresponding work orders at our Grand Rapids, MI facility.
Selecting proper fixtures for each job and confirming dimensions with precise measuring.
Welding chair parts per spec in steel, stainless, aluminum, and alloys using MIG (and TIG when appropriate).
Completing one chair for every new order and conducting a Buddy Check per company procedures.
Finishing orders accurately and on time while keeping documentation up to date in ERP.
Performing preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
Keeping your area clean and organized to company standards.
What You Need to Succeed
Welding certificate preferred.
Ability to weld C-25 MIG thin metal tubing with no weld splatter using a Miller matic 251 machines.
Working knowledge of hand tools—drills, grinders, etc.
Basic computer skills to log time and process simple ERP transactions.
Exceptional measuring accuracy, dependability, and a proactive work ethic.
Schedule & Compensation
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–1:30 PM; overtime to 3:30 PM; some Saturdays as needed.
