Step into a day on the line
Touch down in Florida and get hands-on with precision airframe work. You’ll begin by reviewing blueprints and setting pinned fixtures, then move into fitting floors, seat tracks, panels, and related structures. Your craft shows in the details—careful surface prep and burnishing, accurate alignment, and clean sealing work from face seals to encapsulation and fillets. By the end of the day, you’ll see your impact in tight tolerances met and assemblies that are ready for flight.
Project snapshot
- 6-month onsite contract in Florida
- $42/hour
- 50 hours/week guaranteed; overtime after 40
- $45/day per diem (tax-free), paid 7 days/week
- Private hotel accommodations (we book and manage)
- Must have ITAR Documentation (Passport or Birth Certificate)
What you’ll do
- Execute sealing operations: face sealing, encapsulation, and fillet seals
- Perform burnishing using sanders, Scotch Brite, burnishing wheels, and brushes
- Locate and install floors, seat tracks, structural panels, and associated components
- Apply specialized tooling, precision alignment, and pinned fixture methods to hold engineering tolerances
- Work confidently with fasteners: bolts, cherry bolts, lock bolts, HI LOKs, HI LITEs, and Jo-Bolts
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recent, relevant experience; thin-gauge aluminum expertise is a must
- 4+ years in structural assembly (aerospace preferred)
- Ability to take and pass a Rivet Plate Test
- Hands-on experience with tooling fixtures
- Background in a manufacturing environment
- Willing and able to travel out of state for work
