    Step onto the production floor where precision, pace, and pride meet. As a Thermoplastics Compounding Extrusion Operator, you’ll own the setup, safe operation, and cleaning/changeovers of an extrusion line that keeps our materials moving to customers on time and to spec.

    A Day in the Life

    • Set up and operate the line, running primary compounding and secondary blending of raw materials to hit productivity targets.
    • Monitor your area continuously—make adjustments on the fly to keep the process stable and efficient.
    • Troubleshoot material issues as they arise to maintain throughput and quality.
    • Stage and supply materials in accordance with the production schedule; hook, lift, and load sacks into hoppers.
    • Track in-process inventory accurately and complete all required production paperwork.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards; keep the work area clean and organized.
    • Protect quality by following established standards and in-process checks.
    • Follow safety rules and company policies at all times.
    • Collaborate with teammates, leads, and supervisors to meet goals and resolve issues.
    • Pitch in with other duties as assigned to support the line and team.

    What You Bring

    • 3 years of related experience, ideally in the plastics or automotive space.
    • Manufacturing experience: 1 year preferred.
    • Comfort reading and understanding simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; able to write straightforward correspondence.
    • Solid math fundamentals: add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
    • Able to follow directions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form and apply practical judgment.
    • Skilled at solving problems with several concrete variables in standardized settings.
    • Willing and able to work any shift.
