Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Thermal Spray Grinder to join our manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This position is responsible for grinding, finishing, and inspecting thermally sprayed components to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have experience using precision grinding equipment, reading blueprints, and working in a production environment with tight tolerances. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Grind and finish thermally sprayed components to required dimensions and surface finish specifications. Set up and operate grinding equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings. Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Inspect finished products to verify compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. Perform routine equipment maintenance and maintain a clean work area. Accurately complete production and quality documentation. Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices. Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet production goals.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous grinding, machining, or thermal spray experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and understand specifications. Experience using precision measuring tools. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed. Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of parts and equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
