Role & Responsibilities
We are seeking a Thermal Protection System (TPS) Technician III for an aerospace launch vehicle manufacturer which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in applying thermal protection systems looking to further their career in aerospace manufacturing.
Apply thermal protection systems to flight hardware per procedures, drawings, and specifications
Perform surface prep, fixturing, adhesive application, gap filling, and vacuum bagging on large structures
Complete second-party verifications and hardware inspections; follow 5S, FOD, and tool control
Operate calibrated precision tools (torque wrenches, micrometers) and material handling equipment
Essential Qualifications
2+ years of aerospace manufacturing, integration, or aircraft heavy depot-level maintenance experience
Interpret engineering drawings; experience with adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets; lift 50 lbs; work at heights or confined spaces; U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee
Education: trade school, certification, or related degree preferred
Bonus Qualifications
A&P license or aerospace technician certification
ATF certification; Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
Cryogenic systems or launch vehicle assembly experience
