Your day moves fluidly: set up metalworking equipment, verify dimensions with quality measuring tools, switch over to packaging and skidding parts for shipment, prepare and tender shipping paperwork, then climb onto the fork truck to stage materials using slings and lifting apparatuses. Between tasks, you keep work areas orderly and knock out routine low-level preventive and corrective maintenance on shop tools and machines.

    What You'll Do

    • Handle shipping and receiving: packaging, skidding, material movement, and tendering shipping paperwork.
    • Operate a fork truck and support material handling with slings and lifting apparatuses.
    • Maintain clean, organized equipment and workspaces; perform basic maintenance on shop equipment and tools.
    • Apply practical shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, conversions, geometry, algebra) to daily tasks.

    Preferred Background

Experience in auto mechanics, welding, or fabrication is a plus, but not required. We welcome mechanically inclined candidates ready to learn.

    • Perform physical labor up to 90% of annual hours.
    • Be on your feet and move within the shop for an eight-hour shift with designated breaks.
    • Lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Work comfortably and safely around power-producing equipment and refractory materials.
    • Work safely and professionally at customer facilities, including in confined spaces with elevated temperatures.
