PHYSICAL THERAPIST

• Facility/Location: Baylor Heart Hospital Plano - 1100 Allied Dr, Plano, 75093

• Shift/Schedule: FT Day Shift - The schedule will be 4 -10 hour days - Tues/Wed/Sat/Sun.

• Experienced Preferred - Fast Paced, high acuity.

We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapist to join our acute care team at Baylor Scott and White The Heart Hospital Plano. This full-time role involves evaluating and treating patients recovering from cardiac surgeries, heart failure and other cardiovascular conditions to improve their functional independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will have experience in acute care and a passion for working with patients recovering from complex medical conditions.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapist 1 provides care by evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment. They also educate patients and plan discharges to maximize function.

Essential Functions of the Role

• Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.
• Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, coworkers, and the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family, and staff.
• Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.
• Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.
• Dispenses knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains awareness of system goals. Aligns personal goals and work activities to uphold or impact the system goals.

• Must have good communication skills. Be able to relate professionally and positively to patients, their family members, and facility staff.

• Possesses proficient computer knowledge; operates multiple computer systems and standard Rehabilitation equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION - Masters'' or Bachelors plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
• EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
• CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Physical Therapist (PT)

Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
