Waverly Heights is currently seeking a Full Time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to join our team. Waverly's Therapeutic Recreation Specialists play a crucial role in the compassionate care by enhancing the well-being of our residents. Daily responsibilities of this position include:assisting Director of Therapeutic Recreation in planning recreational activities and special eventsrepresenting the Therapeutic Recreation department at Interdisciplinary Care Conferencesassisting with completion of activities assessments (as assigned)distributing activity calendars to residents creating and posting daily activity sheets in the nurses' stationsensuring necessary supplies are available for activitiesdocumenting participation in resident activitiesOur Therapeutic Recreation Specialist are scheduled 40 hours per week. Certification in recreational therapy or Music Therapy and/or previous experience working in Therapeutic Recreation is preferred. Our ideal candidate will have exceptional customer services skills, a positive attitude, work well in a team environment, and have the ability and willingness to learn.
