Primary Duties and Responsibilities

This position will:

• Provide assistance to the shop managers in building and maintaining costumes for Theatre and Dance productions
• Assists in teaching lab students how to sew
• Helps maintain and organize costume storage
• Working Conditions: must be able to lift at least 30 pounds.

Required Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of department and theatre practices, Skilled in both hand-sewing and the used of sewing machines, overlock machines, and irons, understanding of commercial sewing patterns and basic alterations.
• Ability to read patterns is helpful.
• Organizational skills

Required EducationMust be enrolled as a current student at Belmont University. Required Experience2-3 years of sewing.
