Overview

The Ranch Events Complex at Larimer County is hiring a Facilities Service Worker to help support the operations of our fairgrounds and event facilities! This position plays an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning buildings and grounds for the many events, visitors, and community members who use the complex throughout the year.

This role performs building support services involving the care, maintenance, and cleaning of assigned County buildings and related facilities. Responsibilities include basic janitorial services, recycling, landscaping and grounds maintenance, snow removal, meeting and event setup and tear-down, minor maintenance and repairs, conducting quality inspections of outside vendors, building security, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

What youll be doing:

  • Sweep and wet mop hard surface floors; dusts and polishes furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Assist in planning and performing cleaning tasks in County buildings and facilities.
  • Monitor building conditions and report safety concerns or maintenance needs; take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Vacuum carpets and perform shampooing or spot-cleaning as needed.
  • Clean windows and walls; empty and sanitize trash receptacles and deskside waste bins.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms and related facilities; restock and maintain supplies.

  • Knowledge of general office practices and administrative procedures.

  • Proficiency in routine software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and databases.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with County employees, representatives from other agencies and organizations, and members of the public.

Qualifications

All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of similar duties and responsibilities required.
  • Possession of a valid Drivers License by date of hire required.

Supplemental Information

Schedule

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends, holidays, and early morning or late evening shifts depending on event and facility needs.
