The Beacon Project - Cafe Assistant Duties Include: - Greeting and engaging teens
- Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude
- Light food and drink preparation (microwave, airfryer)
- Light computer work and filing
- Assisting Beacon Coordinator, Board, and Team Members
- Maintain a clean and inviting space
- Sweeping, mopping, taking out trash
- Cleaning the bathroom
- Logging, storing, and organizing donations, including working with the online inventory system
- Packing food boxes, breaking down boxes
- Lifting heavy boxes (30 pounds)
- Working with and around minors/teens so discretion is required
- We have a strict privacy policy due to the circumstances and age of our clientele (minors) so selfies, videos, etc. are not allowed in or around our location.
- Candidate will have to sign a confidentiality agreement
Skills: - Basic computer skills
- Organized, friendly, and have a positive attitude
- No smoking/vaping/drinking/drugs/weapons on or near premises.
- Familiar office equipment - Bilingual - Spanish preference
- The dress code is casual, with a neat, clean appearance. Avoid clothing that is overly revealing or has offensive patterns or slogans.
- Torso must be covered.
- Closed-toed shoes must be worn at all times.

- Standard office environment
- Must be able to lift boxes, cans, etc (5-15lbs)
