Description

The Testing Operator is responsible for performing electrical and quality testing on electronic components to ensure products meet established specifications and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to accurately operate testing equipment and document results.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Operate electrical and electronic testing equipment to test components according to established procedures.
  • Load, unload, and position small components and materials into testing equipment.
  • Perform testing and inspection of components to identify defects or failures.
  • Follow work instructions, test procedures, drawings, and specifications.
  • Monitor equipment during testing and identify abnormal readings or equipment issues.
  • Record test results accurately in production documentation or computer systems.
  • Inspect components before and after testing for visual defects or damage.
  • Segregate and identify defective or non-conforming materials.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and notify appropriate personnel of equipment or quality issues.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Follow all safety, ESD, quality, and production procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Meet established production and quality requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, inspection, testing, or electronics experience is a plus.
  • Experience operating test equipment or working with electronic components preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize small differences or defects.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed written work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter test results.
  • Comfortable working with small components and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
