Job Summary
Seeking a Testing Engineer with hands-on experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing and validation of power converters. This is not a software testing role. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in power electronics, MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, real-time simulation, and embedded controller validation.

Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on HIL testing and validation of power converters
- Strong MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow model development experience
- Strong knowledge of power electronics and power conversion systems, including:
- Inverters
- UPS systems
- AC-DC converters
- DC-DC converters
- Power conversion control architectures
- Experience with power converter control algorithms and state machine implementation
- Experience with controller-to-HIL interfacing, signal mapping, and I/O configuration
- Experience with real-time simulation and model-based design
- Strong understanding of control systems, embedded controllers, and validation methodologies
- Experience debugging hardware-software integration issues in real-time simulation environments
- Exposure to firmware validation and embedded system testing
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
Preferred Skills
- OPAL-RT experience
- Experience with DVT plans, validation reporting, and fault injection
- Experience supporting system-level validation
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop breakout/interface boards for integrating power converter controllers with HIL platforms.
- Configure and establish OPAL-RT HIL test setups for power electronic systems.
- Develop and maintain real-time HIL models for power and interface circuits using MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
- Integrate power converter control hardware with HIL environments, including:
- Signal conditioning and gain setting
- Pin mapping and wiring validation
- Analog and digital I/O configuration
- Communication interface setup and verification
- Execute validation activities according to Design Verification Test (DVT) plans.
- Analyze test results and generate validation reports.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues identified during HIL testing.
- Collaborate with Control, Firmware, and System Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Support controller algorithm verification, fault injection, and system-level validation.
