Testing Center Specialist
Responsibilities: Assisting Director of Testing in the delivery of testing services on campus.
Qualifications: Applicant must have a High School diploma, an Associate degree is preferred. Two years experience in responsible employment in clerical/secretarial area.
Working knowledge of business communications, spelling, punctuation, and mathematics, thorough knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Proved qualifications of leadership, accuracy, initiative, and organization. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, faculty, students, and community members; and to effectively deal with potential public relations problems courteously and tactfully. Computer efficiency (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and graphics) is required. Good communications skills, both written and oral, are essential. Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure. Must be able to work flexible hours including weeknights and Saturdays when needed. Demonstrated computer skills.
Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $35,360 - $43,118 and the actual starting salary will be dependent upon education and experience of the chosen candidate.
Fringe Benefits: This position covers health insurance at 100% for employee. Additional optional coverages include dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, and long- and short-term disability. Other benefits include retirement under the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, accrued sick leave, vacation, paid holidays, and an employee reimbursement/dependent scholarship program. Health benefits require a 60-day employment period.
