Job Description:
  • The Test Technician is a specialized technical role responsible for the critical quality validation, functional diagnosis, and high-pressure safety testing of industrial actuation systems.
  • Positioned as the final authority on product integrity, this role requires complete mastery of all complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical assembly disciplines, combined with advanced root-cause analysis skills to diagnose and resolve system failures.
  • Operating under strict hazardous energy containment protocols, the Test Technician also serves as the primary technical liaison with third-party inspectors, verifying that custom-engineered products meet stringent regulatory and customer specifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Execute comprehensive mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical functional testing on completed actuator assemblies, validating system performance against rigorous engineering and customer quality specifications.
  • Conduct high-pressure pneumatic and hydrostatic tests, strictly adhering to hazardous energy containment protocols, including blast bunker operations, safety shield deployment, and visual warning notification policies.
  • Perform advanced root-cause analysis on failing units, utilizing technical diagnostics to isolate faulty components, determine failure modes, and independently execute complex mechanical, fluid-power, or electrical repairs.
  • Serve as the primary on-site technical representative and liaison for third-party regulatory inspectors (such as ASME, ISO, or customer auditors), guiding them through validation procedures and testifying to product compliance.
  • Interpret advanced multi-discipline engineering schematics, fluid power layouts, customer-specific testing protocols, and electrical wiring diagrams to build custom test-bench configurations.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing assembly, technical testing, or fluid power/electrical diagnostics.
  • Ability to pass a practical assessment during the interview covering mechanical assembly, hydraulic/pneumatic plumbing, and electrical wiring competencies.
  • Proven experience working with high-pressure fluid systems or hazardous energy control protocols, with a demonstrated commitment to industrial safety compliance.
  • Analytical ability to synthesize technical data, diagnose non-conformance issues, and complete formal root-cause failure documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to confidently interface with external corporate inspectors and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience conducting formal validation testing under the direct supervision of third-party inspection agencies.
  • Technical background equivalent to certification in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related industrial trade discipline.
