Overview:

Element has an opportunity for a Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Associate Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.  The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Salary: $85,000- $100,000/yr DOE 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (i.e. test plans/procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
    • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications/procedures; interact with customer if needed; troubleshoot; document all pertinent data
    • Data Processing – Verify, review and document all pertinent data after testing; finalize data and provide to project engineer
    • Lab Maintenance/Post-test Breakdown – Physically remove test items; maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current and organizing supplies
    • Perform other duties as needed

Skills / Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of routine electrical and mechanical operations
    • Basic knowledge of Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, and other data collection instruments
    • Basic knowledge of circuitry design, troubleshooting, safety practices and wiring
    • Must be able to use standard instrumentation, i.e. temperature probes, thermocouples, pressure transducers and accelerometers, RF Signal Generators, RF Amplifiers
    • Basic usage of Microsoft Office suite and other computer skills
    • Preferred Avionics Technician background
    • Prepare specimens for testing in accordance with Testing Specification
    • Knowledge in EMI Testing standards MIL-STD-461, RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-1399 300B / 070, etc
