Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Test Lab Manager with strong hands-on experience in power electronics validation, verification, reliability testing, and test lab management. The ideal candidate will have experience with power conversion products and the ability to lead technicians/junior engineers in a high-power laboratory environment.

Location: Franksville, WI
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the power electronics test laboratory.
- Lead and coordinate design validation, verification, reliability, qualification, and environmental testing.
- Plan and execute testing for VFDs, inverters, converters, UPS, battery systems, EV charging equipment, and industrial drives.
- Lead DFMEA activities and develop Design Validation Plans (DVPs) for power conversion products.
- Analyze test results and troubleshoot failures at both component and system levels.
- Oversee laboratory testing using oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, programmable AC/DC sources, electronic loads, high-voltage probes, and isolation amplifiers.
- Support HALT/HASS and other reliability testing activities.
- Supervise and provide technical direction to technicians and junior engineers.
- Ensure laboratory activities follow applicable safety, testing, and industry standards.
- Prepare and review test plans, procedures, technical reports, and validation documentation.
- Analyze test data and prepare reports using Excel, MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of overall engineering experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a Test Lab Manager, Test Engineering, Validation Engineering, or Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on experience with power electronics validation and verification.
- Proven experience with power conversion products such as VFDs, inverters, DC/DC converters, UPS, battery storage, solar inverters, EV chargers, or industrial drives.
- Strong understanding of power electronics circuits, failure modes, and system-level troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with DFMEA and DVP development.
- Experience with reliability, qualification, and environmental testing.
- Strong knowledge of power electronics test equipment and laboratory practices.
- Working knowledge of UL 508A, UL 1741 SA/SB, IEC, IEEE 519, and NFPA 70E standards.
- Experience working with high-power AC and high-voltage DC systems up to approximately 1500 VDC.
- Strong technical writing, data analysis, and communication skills.
- Previous experience leading or supervising laboratory personnel.
