Test Fixture & Machine Designer

In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing test fixtures and test equipment in CATIA V5 to support airbag, seatbelt, and steering wheel validation activities, including DV (Design Validation), PV (Product Validation), and LAT (Lab Acceptance Testing).Theroleensuresthattestingequipmentmeetsengineeringandqualityrequirementswhilesupportingproductdevelopment,validation,andmanufacturingprocessesthrougheffectivecollaborationandtechnicalexpertise.

        Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:

• Design,develop,andreleasetestfixturesandtestdevicesinCATIAV5tosupportairbag,seatbelt,andsteeringwheeltestingprograms.

• Collaboratewithengineering,laboratory,andmanufacturingteamstoensuretestequipmentmeetsvalidationrequirementsforDV,PV,andLATtesting.

• Createdetailedengineeringdrawings,specifications,anddocumentationwhileensuringcompliancewithdesignstandardsandtestingprocedures.

• Apply knowledge ofmachining,fabricationmethods,materials,andmetalpropertiestodeveloprobust,cost-effective,andreliabletestsolutions.

• Communicatetechnicalinformationeffectivelyacrossdepartmentsandglobalfacilities,providingsupportforfixturedevelopment,testingactivities,andcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.

     If you have/are:

• HighSchoolDiplomarequired,withaminimumof3yearsofexperienceinfixturedesign,includingtestfixtures,holdingfixtures,andattributefixtures.

• AdvancedproficiencyinCATIAV5,includingPartDesign,AssemblyDesign,Parametrization,BooleanOperations,andBasicSurfaceDesign.

• StrongknowledgeandpracticalapplicationofGD&T(GeometricDimensioningandTolerancing)andengineeringdrawinginterpretation.

• Experiencedesigningnewtestfixturesandmodifyingexistingtestequipmenttosupportvalidation,testing,andmanufacturingrequirements.

• FamiliaritywithPLMsystemsfordatamanagement,transfer,andarchiving;experienceinautomotivesafetyrestraintsystemsispreferred.

• Spanish is a plus.
