Job Description
We are looking for a Test Engineering Lab Technician to join our engineering team. This role combines hands-on technical support in the lab with strong soldering skills to assist engineers in prototype development, testing, and troubleshooting. You will play a critical role in ensuring our test processes run smoothly, and our hardware prototypes are built and maintained to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform soldering and assembly of electronic components, PCBs with precision and attention to detail
  • Manage daily operations of the Test Engineering Lab to ensure a safe, organized, and fully functional workspace
  • Oversee material control, including tracking, storing, issuing, and returning components, prototypes, and test assets
    Process and support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain updated documentation
  • Build and support test setups, fixtures, and prototype assemblies
  • Work closely with hardware, test, and product engineers to support development, validation, and debug activities
  • Ensure compliance with lab procedures, configuration control, and engineering processes
  • Communicate status, risks, and lab needs clearly and proactively
  • Operate independently with strong organization and attention to detail
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with lab standards

Must Have
  • Engineering Lab Environment experience 3-5+ years
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, engineering technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous experience in an R&D or engineering lab environment
  • Proven soldering skills (surface mount and through-hole) with ability to work on fine-pitch components
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Good communication skills and collaborative mindset to work closely with engineers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PCB rework and repair
  • Knowledge of ESD-safe practices
  • Basic CAD or schematic reading ability
