MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Test Engineer to join our team. The Test Engineer evaluates and implements methods for process control, testing, and inspection to ensure products function as designed and remain free of flaws. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, execute, and maintain test scripts to ensure that quality software is provided for release to production.
  • Review requirements, specifications, and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the programs and processes to be certified.
  • Perform product testing and analysis using sophisticated testing equipment to maintain quality levels and minimize defect and failure rates.
  • Create, modify, and maintain test databases, ensuring their integrity and distributing test data to development staff for adequate unit testing.
  • Analyze defect reports to determine trends and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Assist in configuration management tasks, including source code control and the coordination of requirement changes, prior to releasing completed projects for production.
  • Write comprehensive trace-ability matrices and detailed test reports to document testing outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience in software quality assurance and testing to meet professional-level requirements.
  • Test legacy systems undergoing modernization and eventual replacement, including systems utilizing VB6, .Net, Oracle, and Java.
  • Interpret internal or external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve testing processes and services.
  • Solve complex testing problems independently, utilizing analytical thinking and tools to identify innovative solutions.
  • Validate estimates for assigned tasks and independently manage work guided by department objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs to ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Lead functional testing teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and complexity.
  • Communicate complex concepts effectively to anticipate potential objections and influence others to adopt alternative viewpoints.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a current/active Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • You must be able to remain in a stationary position for up to 50% of the time.
  • You must be able to deliver clear and effective communication both verbally and non-verbally to deliver updates, briefings, or interface with co-workers, leadership, and the customer.
  • You must be able to freely move within an office environment to utilize IT peripherals such as laptops, desktops, printers, and fax machines.
  • You must be able to review, decipher, and understand program manuals, IT service requests, and work orders.

The projected compensation range for this position is $105,900.00-$177,300.00.
