Pay Range: $80/hr - $83/hour. Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment).
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design and development of a new in-vitro test system to replace a legacy testing unit.
- Help improve the testing capacity, functionality, and efficiency of the new system.
- Develop and integrate new test methods and procedures into the new test system.
- Support the qualification of the new test system and ensure it meets applicable testing requirements.
- Execute and support test method validation activities.
- Perform Gage R&R and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities to assess measurement capability and reliability.
- Create, review, and interpret CAD drawings and mechanical designs related to test-system development.
- Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot test-system issues and implement improvements.
- Document test-system development, qualification, validation, and results in a clear and traceable manner.
- Support testing associated with new product/design development and troubleshooting.
- Help transition testing capabilities to a new laboratory environment while maintaining reliable test performance
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Hands-on experience with test methods and test system development.
- Familiarity with CAD drawings and mechanical design concepts.
- Experience with test method validation.
- Practical knowledge of Gage R&R and/or Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
- Ability to work onsite in a hands-on R&D/testing environment.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
