Description

Immediate need for a talented Test Engineer – Medical Devices | R&D / Test Systems. This is a 06+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Los Angeles, CA(Onsite). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Pay Range: $80/hr - $83/hour.  Traveler benefits as per agency package. (Benefits vary by vendor and assignment).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and development of a new in-vitro test system to replace a legacy testing unit.
  • Help improve the testing capacity, functionality, and efficiency of the new system.
  • Develop and integrate new test methods and procedures into the new test system.
  • Support the qualification of the new test system and ensure it meets applicable testing requirements.
  • Execute and support test method validation activities.
  • Perform Gage R&R and other Measurement System Analysis (MSA) activities to assess measurement capability and reliability.
  • Create, review, and interpret CAD drawings and mechanical designs related to test-system development.
  • Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot test-system issues and implement improvements.
  • Document test-system development, qualification, validation, and results in a clear and traceable manner.
  • Support testing associated with new product/design development and troubleshooting.
  • Help transition testing capabilities to a new laboratory environment while maintaining reliable test performance

Key Requirements and Technology Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with test methods and test system development.
  • Familiarity with CAD drawings and mechanical design concepts.
  • Experience with test method validation.
  • Practical knowledge of Gage R&R and/or Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
  • Ability to work onsite in a hands-on R&D/testing environment.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
