This role will help maintain and test new products for UAS platforms. The ideal candidate will bring a foundation in Operating Systems, software testing, and a passion for new technologies.Responsibilities: Perform software and hardware testing of components of complex drone platformsCoordinate and directs engineering activities concerned with the development of necessary test tools and methodsDetermine conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations (i.e., test planning)Direct and exercise control over operational, functional, and performance phases of testsPerform levels of software testing and code scanning to ensure quality and reliability across the software lifecycleUse Linux command line extensively for testing, automation, and data handlingCollaborate with other Engineering teams and technical stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, resolve testing problems, and ensure continuity of support and developmentCollect and summarizes test data to report on system verification and validation activitiesOptimize system performance and securityMaintain excellent technical documentation hygieneMaintain cybersecurity best practices Required Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a relevant fieldActive security clearance (or ability to obtain)Experience working with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and executing commands in the CLIUnderstanding of virtualization tools and hypervisorsUnderstanding of scripting languages such as Bash and PythonAbility to work with external customers or stakeholders in a clear and professional mannerAbility to identify a problem and find the solution EEO StatementSummit TRC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
