Job Overview:
The Mechatronics Test Engineer, Hardware Verification and Validation, is responsible for creating and executing test programs, plans, and methods for subsystem verification tests and complete system verification and validation tests. This role supports new technology and product development programs, including the design and operation of test benches, instrumentation selection, data processing, and reporting. The engineer will transform raw measurement data into clear engineering insights that drive design decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify proper test plans and equipment needed based on program development stages.
  • Design, commission, and operate test benches for robotic systems, including actuators, batteries, sensors, and cameras.
  • Perform complete system verification and validation testing to ensure successful development of new technologies and products in robotics and automation.
  • Process and analyze test data to determine performance metrics.
  • Create test reports that compare results against specifications to feed back into the design cycle.
  • Support new technology and product development programs.
  • Collaborate with engineers across various disciplines.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
  • Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems.
  • Experience in test development within a high ambiguity environment.
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production (preferred).
  • Experience with the project management of technical projects (preferred).
  • Experience in selecting, sourcing, and setting up lab equipment from third parties (preferred).

Pay Range: $90/hr - $95/hr on W2
