The Test Cell Mechanic supports test operations by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and basic instrumentation systems in a test cell environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and test cell equipment.
• Read mechanical drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and procedures to complete work accurately.
• Assemble, align, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and basic instrumentation systems.
• Support test setup, teardown, equipment monitoring, and operational issue response.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow safety standards, company procedures, and applicable codes.
• Complete work orders, maintenance records, and clear communication with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Technical training or equivalent experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or instrumentation preferred
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, or test cell-related work environments preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Working knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment maintenance
• Basic understanding of instrumentation and control systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, climbing, confined spaces as required)
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness

Requirements:

• Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift
• Follow all safety rules and standards for the company and for the site
• Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor

Must be capable of operating a standard 1/2 ton pick-up for occasional delivery and pick-up of materials and personnel and hold a valid, unrestricted motor vehicle operator's license issued by the state of residence, and the manual dexterity necessary to operate a standard desktop computer keyboard.
