Extropic is hiring a Test and Automation Engineer to help accelerate development of our embedded systems. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a startup environment, who is looking to take ownership of product areas and ensure quality and stability. The ideal candidate is a generalist who enjoys working close to the metal. 

Skills that are relevant to the job include

  • Automating data collection of devices under test
  • Programming in Python and/or C++
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux systems
  • Familiarity with standard hardware protocols (SPI,I2C,USB,PCIe,MIPI,UART)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Useful but not necessary skills include:

  • PCB design and layout
  • Embedded system design
  • Handling and debugging complex integrated systems
  • Probing and testing integrated circuits
$90,000 - $200,000 a year
Base pay is only one part of the compensation package. Compensation additionally includes equity and benefits.
 
Salary and equity compensation will vary wildly with experience level. Substantial equity is available for highly skilled and motivated individuals.
