As a Territory Manager, you'll serve as the face of the Wahl Professional brand within your assigned market, helping customers grow their businesses while driving profitable growth for one of the most respected names in the industry. This role combines strategic thinking, business acumen, and relationship management. You'll have the autonomy to manage your territory like a business, developing growth strategies, identifying opportunities, strengthening customer partnerships, and delivering meaningful results across a dynamic and evolving market.

    What You'll Do

    As a Territory Manager, your day to day will include:

    • Develops and executes annual territory business plans aligned with company sales strategies, customer priorities, and financial objectives.
    • Manages assigned customers, distributors, and territory relationships to achieve revenue, profitability, market-development, and customer-service goals.
    • Builds strong relationships and influences customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders; balances stakeholder needs and considers upstream and downstream impacts to support One Wahl and shared business outcomes.
    • Uses sales, customer, market, pricing, and financial information to evaluate performance, identify opportunities and risks, develop forecasts, and recommend clear actions.
    • Contributes to strategic operating plans and independently drives execution through distributors and customers; adapts territory actions to changing market conditions and escalates significant risks, exceptions, or complex non-routine matters as appropriate.
    • Manages complex and unpredictable customer and territory issues by analyzing available information, weighing customer, operational, and financial considerations, identifying practical options, and exercising independent judgment within established guidelines.
    • Negotiates pricing, programs, promotions, and customer agreements within established commercial guidelines while protecting margins and long-term business interests.
    • Coordinates with Marketing, Channel Management, Sales Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Operations to align territory decisions with customer needs, channel strategy, brand standards, operational capabilities, and business goals.
    • Maintains accurate customer, opportunity, forecasting, and activity information in applicable systems and provides timely reporting on results, risks, and business needs.
    • Represents Wahl professionally at customer meetings, distributor events, trade shows, educational programs, and other industry activities.
    • Exercises independent judgment under limited supervision to determine the best approach for achieving territory outcomes within company policies, procedures, and commercial guidelines; progress is reviewed periodically with emphasis on business results, significant risks, and complex or non-routine matters.
    • Protects confidential customer and company information and uses sound judgment when handling pricing, cost, sales, and profitability data.
    • Identifies and implements practical improvements to sales processes, customer service, and territory execution while maintaining focus on successfully managing and growing the assigned business.

    What You Bring

    • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field and relevant distributor, manufacturer, or business-to-business sales experience; equivalent related experience will be considered.
    • Typically requires 4-6 years of relevant sales or territory-management experience, with demonstrated success managing customers, distributors, revenue, and profitability.
    • Thorough working knowledge of territory management, relationship selling, business planning, forecasting, pricing, margin, and distributor or channel-based sales.
    • Ability to analyze sales, customer, market, and financial information and translate findings into clear actions and recommendations.
    • Strong verbal, written, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • High-level customer service and relationship-management skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and applicable customer relationship management, forecasting, and reporting tools.
    • Ability to travel approximately 50-70%, including occasional weekends for shows, events, and customer needs, based on the assigned territory.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport when required for business travel.
    • Ability to model the Wahl Way and consistently demonstrate the Team Member Organizational Competencies.
