Reports To: Managing Director of Sales & Customer Care
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000–$100,000 base salary per year
About the Role
An established home-lift and accessibility manufacturer is hiring a Territory Distribution Manager to grow its dealer network and sales across the Western US.
You will sell a full line of home mobility and accessibility equipment: custom residential elevators, Limited-Use/Limited-Application (LU/LA) elevators, vertical platform lifts (VPLs) and through-the-floor home lifts. Your partners will be certified accessibility dealers, independent elevator contractors, custom homebuilders and commercial general contractors.
What You'll Do
Grow the dealer network
- Manage and grow relationships with existing certified dealers and independent lift contractors across the Pacific and Mountain regions.
- Find, recruit and sign qualified new installation dealers in key expansion markets.
- Join dealer reps on customer consultations, job-site reviews and design presentations to close residential and light commercial projects.
- Train dealer sales teams on product specs, quoting tools, site requirements and competitive strengths.
Build the specification pipeline
- Build relationships with architects, interior designers, general contractors and accessibility consultants to win early-stage specifications.
- Deliver AIA-accredited CEU presentations and Lunch & Learns to design firms and regional building associations.
- Use construction tracking platforms to spot upcoming luxury custom homes and light commercial projects that need LU/LA elevators or VPLs.
Give technical and code guidance
- Advise before the sale on ASME A17.1 / CSA B44 (Part 5.3 private residence elevators; Part 5.2 LU/LA elevators) and ASME A18.1 (vertical platform lifts).
- Act as the link between distributors and the internal customer care and production teams.
Plan and run the territory
- Build and carry out a regional business plan tied to annual margin, unit and revenue targets.
- Keep pipeline and deal tracking up to date in the CRM.
- Represent the company at regional building expos, NAEC conferences and architectural trade shows.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
- 3–5+ years of outside B2B or channel sales in building products, architectural hardware, vertical transportation or accessibility equipment.
- A proven record of growing revenue and managing channel partners across multi-state territories.
- Working knowledge of accessibility codes (ASME A17.1, ASME A18.1, ADA and local amendments across the West Coast and Intermountain West).
- Ability to read architectural blueprints, CAD elevations, framing details and hoistway section drawings.
- Understanding of both urban West Coast markets and luxury resort and mountain markets.
- Strong consultative selling, organization and relationship-building skills.
- Comfort working with installation crews, general contractors, architects and high-net-worth homeowners alike.
- Willingness to travel about 50% across the territory.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
