Please note: The salary range above represents this position's earning potential. The anticipated hiring range for this position will be as follows based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
If filled at the Therapist I, Grade 23, the hiring range is $78,929 - $104,975.
If filled at the Therapist II, Grade 24,thehiring range is $82,352 - $121,952.
This is a term position budgeted through June 30, 2027. Continued employment beyond this date is subject to extension of funding and is not guaranteed.

Jail Addictions Services is seeking an enthusiastic term therapist who is passionate about working with youthful offenders, who believes in the power of therapeutic services to inspire growth and healing. What Youll Be Doing
As a Licensed Therapist working with youth in a correctional setting, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their emotional and psychological well-being. This position will focus on helping young individuals navigate challenges, process trauma and develop the skills necessary for rehabilitation and reintegration into society. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of vulnerable youth in a structured, secure environment.

Minimum Qualifications
Therapist I Level:
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Masters Degree in clinical or counselling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, nursing, or a related Behavioral science field.
Experience: None
License Requirement: One of the following licenses, issued by the State of Maryland, must be held, and maintained by, the employee:
Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW).
Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC); or
Licensed Graduate Marriage and Family Therapist (LGMFT).
Drivers License Required: Possession and maintenance at all times of a: Valid Class C (or equivalent) drivers license from the applicants state of residence when required for job-related duties.
Therapist II Level:
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in clinical or counseling psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, nursing, or a related behavioral science field.
Experience: Two (2) years of professional experience rendering therapeutic counseling, social work, nursing or psychology services, as pertinent to one's professional licensing.
License Requirement: One of the following licenses, issued by the State of Maryland, must be held prior to appointment of, and maintained by, the employee:
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC);
Licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy (LCMFT);
Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC);
Licensed Certified Social Worker/Clinical (LCSW-C);
Licensed Registered Nurse in the United States, certified as Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland; or
Licensed Psychologist
Drivers License Required: Possession and maintenance at all times of a: Valid Class C (or equivalent) drivers license from the applicants state of residence when required for job-related duties.
