    Description

    The Arch H. Aplin III 80 Department of Marketing at Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time, tenured position with 11-month academic appointments that will begin in Fall 2027. Applicants will be considered for a faculty title of Professor with an administrative appointment as Department Head. Appointment to an endowed position is possible for candidates with appropriate qualifications. The Department Head reports to the Senior Associate Dean. The successful candidate will be expected to provide academic leadership for the department in fulfilling its research, instructional, and service missions including: (1) program and curriculum development; (2) faculty recruitment, development and retention; (3) student recruitment and retention; and (4) engagement with external stakeholders.

    Faculty in this role will be expected to:

    • Maintain an active, visible research agenda with publications in premier marketing journals,
    • Provide intellectual leadership within the department, contributing to doctoral education and faculty development,
    • Deliver rigorous, engaging instruction at all academic levels, and
    • Engage in service, collaboration, and outreach that enhance the department's national and international reputation.

    Qualifications

    Required qualifications for this position include:

    1. An earned doctorate in Marketing or a closely-related field.

    2. Record of teaching, research, and publication commensurate with appointment to the rank of tenured Full Professor.

    3. Demonstrated or potential ability to provide academic, administrative, and scholarly leadership to the department.

    4. Demonstrated or potential ability to work effectively with internal and external department stakeholders.
