Description
The department currently has two openings in College Station in the area of Social and Administrative Pharmacy.
The Texas A&M Rangel College of Pharmacy invites nominations and applications for two faculty positions in Social and Administrative Pharmacy in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. These are 11-month, tenure-track/tenured full time positions in College Station, with an anticipated start date of late Fall 2026/Spring 2027. Faculty rank (Assistant/Associate or Full Professor) and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities would include developing and maintaining a sustainable and extramurally-funded research program, and making significant contributions to research in the department related to one or multiple broader areas including pharmacoepidemiology, utilization and cost of medication and other health care services, sociobehavioral aspects of patient care and health outcomes, and related research areas. Additional responsibilities include teaching/assisting in the delivery of the College's PharmD and/or PhD in pharmaceutical sciences programs (e.g., pharmacoepidemiology and public health as well as research methods and biostatistics), mentoring and advising of students and postdocs, and contributing to establishing a positive, supportive and collaborative environment. Current research in the department with potential for collaboration include: pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, as well as drug delivery and formulations, cardiovascular, diabetes, oncology, and infectious disease. There are ample opportunities to engage in collaborative research, conduct applied and contract research, and contribute to enhancing the research portfolio and the service mission of the College and Texas A&M University. The positions provide opportunities for individuals with a strong commitment to an academic career with emphasis on research, instruction, and service. The recruited faculty member will be provided with a competitive start-up package, and the start date is negotiable.
Qualifications
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Social and Administrative Pharmacy or a related social science/health discipline, have an active/ productive research program with a documented track record of externally funded grants, commensurate with the rank applied for. The successful candidates must have excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates with a track record of effective scholarship, funding, previous teaching experience and research interests that complement the strengths of the College will be given preference.
