Tenure Track Professor of Chemistry:

The Natural Sciences and Mathematics department at Daemen University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor of chemistry teaching position starting Fall 2027. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching 21 credits of lectures and labs in the areas of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and General Chemistry. Teaching classes in areas of Environmental Chemistry and Forensic Chemistry will be desirable but are not required. Tenure track faculty will also be responsible for mentoring undergraduate research students as well as conduct their own research leading to publication in peer review journals. All applicants must be willing and able to teach in face to face and online modalities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

• PhD in Chemistry, or related discipline required.

Knowledge and Skills

• Experience with "active learning" in face to face modality (preferably at smaller institutions).
• Demonstrates analytical and organizational skills necessary to plan, implement and evaluate educational activities to assure compliance with established goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written, necessary to interact effectively with all university constituents.
