    Description

    The Department of Aerospace Engineering, College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position with a 9-month academic appointment, with the possibility of an additional summer appointment contingent upon the need and availability of funds, beginning the fall of 2027. Applicants will be considered at the levels of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor.

    Candidates will be considered whose research interests align with one or more of the following areas: Advanced composites and architectured materials, integrating solid mechanics, multiscale modeling, and advanced manufacturing to systematically tailor microstructure and higher-order architectures for structural, functional, adaptive, and multifunctional properties beyond conventional material systems.

    Successful applicants will be required to develop and teach courses in Aerospace Engineering program at Texas A&M; advise and mentor graduate students; develop an independent externally funded research program at the forefront of aerospace and space engineering and sciences; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession.     Qualifications

    Applicants must have an earned doctorate in aerospace engineering or a closely related science and/or engineering discipline.
