Homeschool Program Staff - Eastway Regional Recreation Center
The Homeschool Program Staff supports structured recreation and enrichment activities for youth ages 5-17 enrolled in Eastway's homeschool programming. This role ensures a safe, engaging, and educational environment that complements academic learning with physical activity, creative expression, and social development.
Primary responsibilities include:
Program facilitation - leading recreation, fitness, arts, and enrichment activities designed for homeschool participants.
Youth engagement - fostering positive peer interaction, encouraging participation, and adapting activities to diverse age groups.
Safety & supervision - maintaining ratio‑safe coverage, enforcing center policies, and responding to incidents appropriately.
Parent communication - providing updates on student progress, program schedules, and upcoming opportunities.
Curriculum support - assisting with structured lesson plans, recreation rotations, and activity transitions.
Environment upkeep - ensuring program spaces are clean, organized, and prepared for daily use.
Team collaboration - working with recreation specialists and supervisors to deliver consistent, high‑quality programming.
Work Hours: Staff are scheduled between 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday, to align with homeschool program sessions and family needs.
This position requires reliability, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills to support homeschool families and deliver meaningful recreation experiences.
