Reconciliation Project Accountant + Temporary + Omaha

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to lead a focused reconciliation initiative and help establish repeatable processes that will benefit the team long after the project is complete.

What Youll Do

• Perform detailed account reconciliations across balance sheet and operational accounts.
• Gather and analyze data from multiple systems, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies while ensuring supporting documentation is complete and organized.
• Develop standardized reconciliation templates and tracking tools.
• Document reconciliation procedures and create clear process guides for the accounting team.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and organization within existing accounting processes.
• Partner closely with accounting leadership to provide project updates and recommendations throughout the engagement.

What Theyre Looking For

• 3+ years of accounting experience with significant account reconciliation responsibilities.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with data from multiple systems.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience documenting accounting processes and implementing standardized procedures.
