Temporary Part-Time Clerk – Voter Registration

Greenwood County is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented individual to join our Voter Registration & Elections team as a Temporary Part-Time Clerk. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with the public, is comfortable working with computers and detailed information, and has an interest in the electoral process.Salary - $15.23/hr.

Schedule

• Approximately 8–16 hours per week
• Typically 1–2 days per week
• Additional hours will be required during early voting and other busy election periods
• Candidates should have flexibility to work additional hours as election needs arise.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of the electoral process and be comfortable working in a busy, detail-oriented office environment.

Successful candidates should:

• Be proficient in typing and general computer use
• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Possess strong verbal communication and customer service skills, both in person and over the phone
• Be able to read, interpret, and decipher maps and spreadsheets
• Be highly detail-oriented, organized, and accurate
• Be able to adapt to a busy office environment and changing priorities
• Work well with the public and as part of a team
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information

GIS knowledge or experience is preferred.
