About the Role
The Temporary IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support across both office and warehouse environments. You’ll help set up and troubleshoot devices and warehouse equipment, support printing and scanning systems, assist with Wi-Fi/network connectivity, and respond quickly to technology issues to minimize operational downtime. You’ll partner with site leadership, operations teams, and associates to ensure technology problems are resolved fast so production stays on track.

Key Responsibilities
  • Device Setup and Support: Set up, configure, and troubleshoot tablets, handheld devices, laptops, desktops, scanners, and other site technology; assist with device deployment, user setup, password resets, application access, and basic account support; ensure devices are charged, connected, labeled, assigned, and ready for use; support device inventory tracking and return/replacement coordination.
  • Warehouse Technology Support: Provide technical support for fulfillment/distribution center equipment, including troubleshooting Zebra printers/label printersRF scanners, tablets/handheld scanners, label printing issues (jams, calibration, connectivity, print quality, pairing), and equipment problems impacting picking, packing, shipping, receiving, returns, and inventory processes.
  • Network and Wi-Fi Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot basic Wi-Fi and connectivity issues across office and warehouse areas; help identify weak signal areas and connectivity problems; perform basic troubleshooting (e.g., network status checks, device restart/reconnect, SSID reconnect, basic connectivity checks like ping); escalate when issues require additional help.
  • Computer and Office IT Support: Provide basic troubleshooting for monitors, docking stations, keyboards, mice, printers, login issues, email access, and standard business applications; support Microsoft Office/Outlook and basic software/browser issues; assist with peripheral setup; help keep an organized IT equipment area.
  • Operational Support and Issue Resolution: Respond promptly to reduce downtime; communicate issue status and resolution steps to associates and managers; document recurring issues and support trends; escalate urgent/unresolved issues to the appropriate contacts; support start-of-shift readiness by ensuring key systems and devices are operational; provide basic user guidance on proper equipment use.
Key Requirements
  • Prior experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, warehouse IT, or technical support preferred.
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting tablets/handheld devices, laptops/desktops, printers, and scanners.
  • Working knowledge of Zebra printers, label printers, RF scanners, or similar warehouse technology preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Wi-Fi/networking, IP addressing, device connectivity, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and connectivity issues in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Comfortable working directly on the warehouse floor in a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues simply.
  • Ability to prioritize issues based on urgency and business impact.
  • Dependable, responsive, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to lift, move, or set up basic IT equipment as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in fulfillment, logistics, warehouse, or distribution center environments.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems, shipping systems, inventory systems, or production-based technology.
  • Experience with Zebra devices, mobile device management tools, handheld scanners, label printing software, or networked printers.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting printers, SSIDs, routers/switches, access points, and device connectivity.
  • Prior experience supporting operational teams where technology downtime impacts productivity.
