Job Summary
The Early Childhood Learning Center at Central Washington University is accepting applications for Temporary/Hourly positions. This person will provide quality care to meet the needs of children ages 4 weeks to 36 months in the Rainbow Room, ages 2-8 years old enrolled in the Early Childhood Learning Center, and school age children 5-12 years old at Michaelson Hall located at a separate site. ECLC hours are 7:30-5:30 Monday-Friday.

Pay: Minimum wage $17.13 per hour up to $20.00 per hour dependent upon experience.
Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday, flexible on hours and schedule.
Additional information: This announcement will be used to develop a pool of applicants for temporary/hourly positions through December 31, 2026. Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill positions on an as-needed basis, however this posting does not imply that a position will be filled or any guarantee that applicants will be contacted.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in a classroom environment with frequent in-person interactions. It is essential to be able to meet the physical demands of caring for young children; prolonged periods of holding, feeding child while in your arms, remaining on your feet for prolonged periods of time, multi-tasking from one duty to another and keeping track of what comes next. Lots of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, lifting, walking, carrying or moving of children and other movements may be required. You will be exposed to childhood illnesses, possible saliva, and urine, etc. The schedule will need to be flexible to cover lead teacher periods of leave as required.
Benefits: All Student and Temporary/Hourly positions are eligible to accrue paid sick leave. This leave will accrue at one (1) hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours of work.
