Requirements / Qualifications
TEMPORARY - DIRECTOR - CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM / 8 Hours 12 Months QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor's degree in food service or related field & five (5) years increasingly responsible experience in quantity food preparation, cooking & serving, including one (1) year of experience in a lead capacity. 2. Plan, organize, control & direct Child Nutrition Services operations & activities to meet student needs; establish & maintain Department timelines & priorities; oversee meal preparation & assure food service functions comply with safety & sanitation regulations & established laws, rules, policies & procedures. 3. Provide technical expertise, information & direct assistance to the assigned Child Nutrition Services personnel regarding assigned functions; perform routine food preparation duties including cooking as needed; conduct trainings & attend meetings. 4. Supervise evaluate the performance of assigned personnel; interview & select employees & recommend transfers, reassignment, termination & disciplinary actions; arrange for coverage when personnel are absent. 5. Direct & participate in the preparation & maintenance of a variety of narrative & statistical record, files, & reports related to food services operations, menus, inventory, equipment, personnel, policies, site visits, financial activity & assigned duties; assure mandated reports are submitted to appropriate governmental agency according to established timeline. 6. Develop & implement menus according to established portion control & recipe guidelines & health & nutrition requirements; calculate & adjust recipes for new menu items as directed. 7. Perform related duties as assigned. 8. Possess & maintain current Food Handler's Managers Certificate required. Valid California river s license required. Use of personal vehicle and/or District vehicle. Salary: $10, 495.00 - MONTHLY
