Temporary Bilingual Medical Assistant – Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and patient-focused Bilingual Medical Assistant for a temporary assignment in Sarasota, Florida. This position is expected to last at least six months and is a great opportunity for someone looking for a longer-term temporary placement. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish and comfortable assisting patients and providers with daily clinical operations.

Temporary Bilingual Medical Assistant – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers as needed.

• Obtain and document patient vital signs and medical histories.

• Update and maintain accurate patient charts.

• Assist with patient intake, check-in, and check-out.

• Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice.

• Assist with injections, specimen collection, and other clinical tasks as directed.

• Maintain clean examination rooms and properly stocked medical supplies.

• Communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment instructions, and follow-up.

• Assist Spanish-speaking patients with communication and understanding of care instructions.

Temporary Bilingual Medical Assistant – Additional Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.

• Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

• Ability to adapt quickly to office procedures.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Medical Assistant certification is a plus.
