    Position Summary

    Delaware County Community College (DCCC), located outside of the Philadelphia Metro area, is looking for a dynamic part-time Temporary Athletics Support Assistant to join our team of higher education professionals who are committed to student success.

    The Temporary Athletics Support Assistant provides administrative, operational, and event support for the Department of Athletics. This position assists the Athletic Director, Executive Assistant for Athletics, and Assistant Athletic Director with daily office operations, NJCAA compliance processes, student-athlete administration, event management, communications, and recreational programming. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

    Essential Functions

    Administrative Support

    • Provide outstanding customer service to students, coaches, staff, and visitors.
    • Answer inquiries and direct visitors to appropriate personnel.
    • Scan, file, organize, and maintain electronic and paper records.
    • Make copies and prepare departmental documents and correspondence.
    • Conduct basic research and compile information as requested.
    • Assist with inventory management and equipment tracking.
    • Perform general office support functions for the Athletics Department.

    NJCAA Compliance & Student-Athlete Administration

    • Assist with collecting, organizing, and tracking NJCAA eligibility documentation and internal student-athlete paperwork.
    • Maintain confidential student-athlete records in accordance with institutional policies.
    • Support the Assistant Athletic Director by monitoring prospective student-athlete interest forms.
    • Organize prospective student-athletes into sport-specific recruiting and roster databases.
    • Assist with maintaining accurate administrative records for compliance purposes.

    Event Management & Recreation

    • Support the Assistant Athletic Director with athletic event management operations.
    • Assist with setup, breakdown, and operational needs for home contests and special events.
    • Provide support for Recreational Sports and Fitness Center activities, programs, and special events.
    • Assist with game-day operations as needed.

    Communications & Marketing

    • Assist with social media content creation and scheduling.
    • Help coordinate Athletics Media Day activities.
    • Assist with compiling athletic statistics, game summaries, and feature stories.
    • Support promotional and marketing initiatives for Athletics programs.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student and departmental information.
    • Work collaboratively with coaches, staff, student workers, and campus departments.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Assistant for Athletics, or Assistant Athletic Director.

    Experience & Education

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
    • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
    • Interest in athletics, recreation, and higher education is preferred

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to move office supplies and event materials.
    • Ability to stand, walk, and assist during athletic events.
    • Ability to perform routine office tasks, including computer work and document handling.
