What you'll do and what you'll bring:
Position Function:
Assist the Ball State University Volleyball program by providing instructional and operational support during practices, camps, and team-related activities. This position contributes to the teaching and skill development of student-athletes and supports the program's daily operations in alignment with University, NCAA, and Mid-American Conference guidelines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Instruction
- Assist with individual and team skill instruction during practices, camps, and clinics.
- Support the implementation of practice plans developed by the Head Coach and Assistant Coaches.
- Provide feedback and technical guidance to student-athletes under staff supervision.
- Camp and Event Assistance
- Assist with setup, operation, and supervision of volleyball camps and clinics.
- Help ensure participant safety and adherence to camp policies and procedures.
- Support logistical needs such as registration, facility setup, and equipment organization.
- Program Support
- Assist with on-court drills, warmups, and practice execution.
- Help maintain equipment, balls, and practice spaces.
- Provide operational support as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Operations.
- Compliance and Professional Conduct
- Adhere to all Ball State University, NCAA, and Mid-American Conference regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all program-related activities.
- Represent the volleyball program positively in all interactions with student-athletes, staff, and community members.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Perform additional responsibilities as determined by the Head Coach to support the efficient operation of the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Eligibility to drive a University vehicle.
