Description: The Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography Technologist works closely with the cardiologist in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases in our Accredited Echo Lab which includes outpatients, off-campus sites & inpatients with hospital coverage on-call after hours, weekends and holidays. Diagnostic Ultrasound testing includes m-mode, 2D, 3D, spectral Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler imaging, strain imaging, bubble studies, contrast-enhanced transthoracic echocardiograms, exercise & pharmacology stress echocardiograms, imaging for structural heart procedures, and assist the cardiologist with both 2D & 3D transesophageal echocardiograms.
