Description: The
Polysomnographic Technologist II sets up and performs polysomnographic testing and scores studies for physician interpretation. Acts as training mentor to Polysomnographic Technologist I, (Trainee). May analyze data and provide education for customers and family members.
Accountabilities:
- Performs intake admission for customers.
- Distributes and collects customer questionnaires and assessments.
- Answers customer questions and reviews study procedures.
- Initiates PAP trial and mask fitting.
- Performs polysomnographic study.
- Assures quality, artifact free recording.
- Stages and scores events during polysomnographic testing.
- Scores studies in preparation of physician review and interpretation.
- Records maintenance.
- Provides pertinent customer information to Polysomnographic Technologists at shift change.
- Provides predetermined information to customer upon discharge.
- Sets up, downloads and completes Customer MD Recommendation letter for Wrist Ox studies.
- Sets up, downloads and prints report for Actigraphy studies.
- Equipment cleaning and disinfecting as needed.
- Triage phone, fax and emails as appropriate.
- Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
