What Youll Do- Assess and monitor patients on a med-surg/telemetry unit, ensuring safe and effective care
- Administer medications and perform treatments, including drip management (insulin, Emolol, sodium infusions)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Respond quickly to patient needs and emergent situations during night shifts
- Provide charge nurse support when assigned (charge experience required)
- Assist with occasional PCU care (3:1 patient ratio) as needed
What You Need- Active RN license in Vermont or willingness to obtain
- BLS certification (required)
- Experience with infusion drips, especially insulin, Emolol, and sodium
- Ability to work night shifts consistently
- Strong clinical skills in med-surg/telemetry care
- Flexibility to work scheduled days off around major holidays and to support unit needs
About the Assignment
This assignment takes place in a respected hospital in Springfield, VT, known for its adaptive acuity unit. Travel nurses will occasionally provide PCU care with a 3:1 patient ratio and manage infusion therapies including drips. Excellent team support and timely communication are integral to this role. Please note: RTO requests are limited to 5 days and must be provided upfront. Visa or licensing requirements must be completed prior to start.
