    Description

    EFI is looking for a Temporary QA Inspector to to join our InkJet Business Unit in our Castellón de la Plana, Spain office.

    Job Description:

    • Conduct inspections for first article, in-coming parts, and completed printers.
    • Investigate production part, process problems and document findings.
    • Initiate Non-Conformance reports (Discrepant Material Reports) as required.
    • Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
    • Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements.
    • Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions. Communicate with project engineers to ensure inspection criteria are in compliance with the final product.
    • Maintain incoming inspection material history records.
    • Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
    • Conduct various tests and quality checks on finished products. Insure that all products have been tested and fall within standards, measured to specifications and within tolerances, readability of labels, etc.
    • Follow all 5S, clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
    • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Supervisor

    Job Requirements

    • Electromechanical profile with a Vocational Training qualification in a relevant technical field. A degree in Mechanical Engineering would be considered a strong advantage

    • Good communication skills, both oral and written.

    • Capable of communicating quality and engineering criteria/issues to all levels of factory employees, buyers, and suppliers.

    • Read and perform inspections using the assembly instructions and engineering drawings. This will require a basic understanding of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and bills of material.

    • Perform configuration verification and first article inspections on all levels of assemblies.

    • Verify that all operations have been completely performed and accepted, including acceptance testing.

    • Prior experience as an Inspector is a must.

    • Experience in the performance of First Article Inspections.

    • Experience using calibrated inspection measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.

    • Competent in the use of SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word).
