What Youll Do
- Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments in accordance with clinical plans.
- Assist patients with manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
- Evaluate patient progress and liaise with supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans.
- Document treatment sessions thoroughly in electronic health records, including all regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding progress and treatment goals.
- Participate in meetings such as care conferences, utilization reviews, and training sessions.
- Support supervision and mentoring of students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
What You Need
- Active State Licensure for Physical Therapist Assistants
- Prior experience working in long-term care settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
