What You’ll Do
  • Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments in accordance with clinical plans.
  • Assist patients with manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive devices.
  • Evaluate patient progress and liaise with supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment plans.
  • Document treatment sessions thoroughly in electronic health records, including all regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding progress and treatment goals.
  • Participate in meetings such as care conferences, utilization reviews, and training sessions.
  • Support supervision and mentoring of students under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.
What You Need
  • Active State Licensure for Physical Therapist Assistants
  • Prior experience working in long-term care settings preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
