What You’ll Do
  • Support patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders through evidence-based interventions under supervision.
  • Perform rehabilitative treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive device use.
  • Assess patient progress and communicate findings to supervising Occupational Therapist for treatment adjustments.
  • Document all treatments, patient progress, and compliance in electronic health records.
  • Provide consultation to patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans.
  • Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and training sessions.
  • Support the supervision of students under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Adhere to all relevant practice acts, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

What You Need
Required:
  • Active State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Relevant experience in long-term care or rehab settings preferred
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team

Preferred:
  • Prior experience supporting patients with cognitive/physical disorders in LTC
