What Youll Do
- Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatments tailored to patients with cognitive and/or physical disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Assist with ADL retraining, therapeutic exercises, activities, modalities, and use of supportive devices.
- Assess patients progress and communicate updates to supervising Occupational Therapist to optimize treatment plans.
- Document all services accurately in electronic health records, maintaining compliance with regulations.
- Support patient, family, and caregiver education regarding treatment and progress.
- Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and training sessions.
- Support and supervise students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist.
- Obtain necessary supplies and DME as required for patient care.
What You Need
- Active State Licensure or Registration (if applicable)
- At least 1 year of relevant experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a healthcare team
- Knowledge of evidence-based practice standards
- Adherence to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethical standards
