What Youll Do
- Support clinical interventions by providing rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments to patients with cognitive or physical functioning disorders.
- Administer procedures such as ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and use of supportive/supportive devices, under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Assess patient progress, communicate with supervising therapists, and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Document all treatments, patient progress, and clinical information accurately in the electronic documentation system.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team during patient care conferences, meetings, and training sessions.
- Support and supervise students under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical practices, and state regulations.
What You Need
Required:- Active State Licensure/Registration (when applicable)
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Relevant experience supporting therapy in long-term care facilities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred:- Experience working with adult and elderly populations in long-term care settings
